Showdown at the Net Announced

Vanderbilt volleyball faces California in ACC/SEC Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt volleyball will play at California as a part of ESPN Events’ “Showdown at the Net,” the organization announced Thursday.

The Commodores’ matchup with the Golden Bears is set to air on ACCNX on Sept. 10. Match times will be announced at a later date.

“We are thrilled to showcase these two conferences in the ‘Showdown at the Net’,” said Stephanie Grant, Director of ESPN Events. “The sport of volleyball is continuing to skyrocket, and we are excited for the opportunity to stage this event not only in Fort Worth, but in SEC/ACC matchups across the country.”

The Commodores kick off the reinstated volleyball program’s first season since 1979-80 on Aug. 23 at the AVCA First Serve Showcase when they play Kansas at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.

2025 volleyball season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online.

Single-match tickets will go on sale in July. Fans interested in getting ticket information sent directly to their inbox should complete the ticket interest form.
